BLACK OUT FORUM! Many of us have been leaving the BLACK OUT FORUM!

Many of us have been leaving the G.T.A. for greener pastures and affordable homes. Hear from Black artists in the Kitchener-Waterloo region as they navigate forging space and building community.

You're invited to attend the Black Out Forum presented by Virtu Arts, a FREE festival held virtually on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 @ 6 PM.

This year, Virtu Arts @virtuartsprod is the company in residency at the Femme Folks Fest 2021 - At Home presented by Pat The Dog Theatre Creation. As part of the residency, they will be putting on their inaugural Black Out Forum where they seek to create a safer space for the artists of the African diaspora to speak candidly about the good, the bad, and the ugly of being an artist in regions where they are not well represented.

Virtu Arts is an emerging Black and woman-owned theatre company, based in Waterloo Region, that is dedicated to the advancement of the careers and stories of African/Caribbean/Black diasporic artists in regions outside of Toronto.

Learn more about the forum and register, go to femmefolksfest.ca/pec-events/the-black-out-forum/

Where the spirit world and the real-world meet, lies a world unapologetically crafted and performed by critically acclaimed, Samson Bonkeabantu Brown. 11:11 explores the other side of fear through the eyes of a young, Black transman struggling to understand the ancestral messages saturating his dreams.
