CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Tuesday January 23 @ Midnight
The PIECE OF MINE Festival was created to platform works in development by Black artists. We provide a venue, marketing and mentorship for selected artists to test out their ideas without the financial risk.
Several alumni have gone on to further developed their pieces into productions Amanda Parris (Other Side of the Game), Sabrina Moella (Made in Congo), and Meghan Swaby (Venus’ Daughter).
All art mediums are encouraged.
***Submissions must be a work you have already started developing or near completion, rather than an idea that hasn’t yet been explored.***
Please email pieceofminefest@gmail.com with the following by end of day onTuesday January 23 @ Midnight:
ALL SUBMISSIONS:
– Full name
– Phone number
– Bio (100 words or less)
– High res head shot
– Synopsis (3 to 6 sentences of the work you want to present)
Playwrights & Actors:
– Excerpt of script
Dance Artists:
– 2 video links of current or past choreography
Visual Artists:
– 2 to 5 images of your work
Musicians:
– 2 music links of current or past recording
– 1 video link to current or past performance
***A $25 admin fee is applied for all ACCEPTED applicants,
due upon signing of contract.***
